I started taking piano lessons when I was 11 years old. I have always
had a passion for all kinds of musical instruments and computers,
and I taught myself to play the guitar, bass, drums and percussion.
Rather than focusing on a single trend, I work with a broad spectrum
of musical genres...
|
...the genres that Philippe works with are as diverse as rock, pop, jazz,
blues, raggae and electro, and has been making a living with his music
for the past two years - the track, "St. Germaine", which you can
hear below, has elements of both jazz and house music.

The song, like most of my songs, was composed, recorded, mixed and
completed in about four hours - I don't like spending too much time
on a track, and if it doesn't work out, I delete it. The beats were
done on the Drums generator - I used the Sampler and Monobass a lot,
and I use Audio Tracks for the guitars and keyboard solos.

Philippe doesn't play in a band, but he often gets together
with other jazz musicians for jam sessions, to practice playing
real instruments, and of course for enjoyment.
He recently closed down his page on mp3.com, so at the moment,
the only link we can provide is this:
Once he finds a new place to host his music, we'll hopefully be
able to bring you a link to his new page...
