Groove Templates

The sequencer comes with a special note editing feature, called Groove Templates. By applying a Groove Template to a pattern, you modify the timing, lengths and velocities of notes slightly, giving "feeling" to rhythms and grooves.

For example, Salsa, Shuffle and Jazz Swing templates are included - when you apply one of these templates to your pattern, it acquires a certain "feel" that is typical of a certain style of music.

Pluck Templates

In Orion an additional template system is available. This one is designed to alter the chords in a pattern, in a way that is similar to a hand moving over the strings of a guitar. Instead of playing all the notes of a chord simultaneously, very short delays are introduced between the triggering of each note in the chord - this adds a pleasing touch to stringed instruments, such as the Plucked String, or the Sampler with an appropriate multisample.
