Installing Synapse Audio plugins

Our plugins are easy to install. If you install the full version of one of our products, make sure you have your serial number handy.

To install the plugin:

• To speed up the installation process, close any open programs you have running.
• Under Windows, unzip the corresponding file and run Setup.EXE.
  When using OS X, open the disk image (.dmg) and click on the installation icon.
• Follow the installation instructions.

Note for Windows users: You will be asked to select the location of your VstPlugins directory. Make sure to choose the correct directory for your host software.
Refer to your host software’s manual if you are unsure about where the host software's VstPlugins directory is located.

Uninstalling Synapse Audio plugins

The following example uses our product DUNE, but it will work in the same manner for any other product of ours.

*Windows*
Go to the Control Panel and click "Add/Remove the software". Find Dune on the list and double click to uninstall it.
To remove user data, go to the "My Documents/Synapse Audio" folder and remove the "Dune" directory.

*OS X*
To remove the AU version, go to "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components" and remove the file Dune.component.
To remove the VST version, go to "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST" and remove the file Dune.vst.
To remove user data, go to the "/Library/Application Support/Synapse Audio" folder and remove the "Dune" directory.
